All About Wigs and Weave
Wigs and hair weave, the best accessory ever invented for women!! The original intent for wigs and weave was to provide an alternative to embarrassing hair loss or thinness for women (and men). The wearing of wigs and hair weave has quickly evolved to and all out fashion statement.
What's all the fuss about?
Well, like me, many women (and men) have discovered the versatility and fashion appeal that wigs and weave bring.
A women's hair is her crowning jewel. Healthy looking hair has been associated to self-esteem, pride, desirability and an overall positive self-image. It is a women's ultimate accessory.
For people who have lost their hair, wigs will make you feel more yourself once again.
For those who are planning to protect their natural hair, wigs and weave can provide you a variety of styles while your hair is hidden.
For others, wigs and weave can give each day a new look.
Whether you wear it long and straight, full and curly or short and sassy, wigs and weave can help you achieve the look.
Celebrities all over the globe have turned to wigs and weave an essential part of their fashion statement. We all know that celeberties have an entire team of hair stylists and consultants to help achieve their desired look. Why did we create this site?
I have worn wigs and weave for 20 years. I have always enjoyed the versatility it provides and the element of surprise it creates.
Fun! Fun! Fun! For me, it was never about not having enough hair. I have always have lots of long thick hair……that was until about 2 years ago.
I became very ill and during the illness, medication used caused me to experience complete hair loss …… Ugg!!! Not only was I sick, I was less than 100lbs (not cute when you are 5’6) and my hair was bald in patches.
(Not the look I was going for.)
For the first time in my life, I didn’t just want a nice weave; I needed something to camouflage the horror show being played on top of my head. (Yes, I was sick and still wanted to be cute). Because the illness rendered me unable to work, my usual routine of calling the hairdresser to hook me up with a $200-$900 hairdo was out of the question.
Armed with my laptop and all-out determination, I began scouring the internet for information on creating my own weave styles. As I am sure you have discovered, free information on creating styles with weaves is patchy at best!!
We want wig-and-weaves.com to fill in the hair weave instructional gap and pull together all the information women(and some men) are searching for about wigs and weaves.
Thanks for visiting this site and feel free to pass on any information you find on this site that could help someone.
